Ahlers und Lambrecht References - Kleist Forum Frankfurt/Oder
Task:
The purpose was to design and construct a concert dome according to given guidelines regarding size, surface weight and surface structure. Construction should also conform to DIN 4102 (building material grade B1 – almost fireproof) also guarantee for static stability control.
An extraordinary challenge presented the difficult transport- and storage conditions in the Kleist Forum.

Solution:
The task encompassed the complete electricity supply, lighting technique and transport kinetics as well as the complete ceiling installation including design-elements adjustable to the wall shapes.
Restrictions like narrow and low doors made modifications for transport purposes imperative as for example with foldable ceilings. Also stage towers, which normally are fitted as mobile elements, have to be transported here on trolleys and hooked-in on stage.
The surface finish in high quality natural wood veneer harmonizes with existing dome linings in stained oak.
